M3: Show an understanding of feedback and be able to respond to questions.

In this task I will have to show my understanding and knowledge of the feedback provided to me by the client and what I need to work on to improve the idea of the magazine as well as respond to questions he had about the magazine. My evidence of being able to respond to the clients questions are provided in this video: youtube.com/watch?v=XhV8RN_Mcu4 A piece of feedback provided to me by the client was regarding the price of my magazine, they believed that £5 a month is expensive for any magazine in general let alone a small local magazine. This was an error from me as I did not do enough research on prices of different magazines and especially local magazines. So after doing research on the prices of local music magazines we will cut down the price of the magazine to £3 a month and £30 if you pay for a yearly subscription this will please consumers in my demographic as well as it will be more affordable for them. Another piece of feedback provided to me was about the map on my l...

M2 Identify potential client questions

Image
After presenting a draft presentation in front of my class I have analysed what in my pitch needs working on, what I need to go in more depth in and potential questions I can get asked by the client in my final pitch. From my feedback I can see that I need to add a lot to my presentation, this will include distribution, marketing, content of the magazine, demographics and a unique selling point. I will need to think about where my product will be sold and distributed, as it's a North London grime magazine I believe I'm going to sell the magazine in North London corner shops, supermarkets and venues when there is grime gigs there. I will need to tell the client what will be inside my magazine and what content will be in it so they know what they expect to see.  I will need to decide the demographic I will be targeting so I can tell the client who my product will be aimed at primarily. I will also need to decide on my USP and how our magazine will be competitive with others. ...

P1 and M1: Explain different ideas for an original media product based on a client brief and discuss strengths and weaknesses of the ideas

Image
I've been told in the client brief to pitch an idea for a North London music based genre magazine online and in print as there is a lot of music trending there currently and they want more people to in North London what's going on in the music scene there, e.g. let them know about upcoming artists and music in the area, if the magazine is successful it will be spread in to wider areas of London, the audience it will be aimed at is more youth, because in North London the grime genre is currently the most popular genre in the area for the younger generation so it is a good gap in the market to aim for, another demographic it will be aimed at is the C2DE category overall if it's a young grime magazine as young people don't work and have an income but if they do the will be having a minimal income.
